The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is the most prestigious engineering entrance exam in India. It is conducted in two stages:
1️⃣ JEE Main – For admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and qualifying for JEE Advanced.
2️⃣ JEE Advanced – For admission to IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).

📌 Total Marks: 300
📌 Marking Scheme:
✅ +4 marks for correct answers
❌ -1 mark for wrong answers
🔹 JEE Advanced (Computer-Based Test)
📌 Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
📌 Exam Mode: Two Papers (Mandatory) – Paper 1 & Paper 2
📌 Duration: 3 Hours Each
📌 Total Marks: Varies each year
📌 Marking Scheme: Varies (Includes full, partial, and negative marking)
📢 JEE Advanced is more conceptual & application-based than JEE Main.
For JEE Main:
✅ Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with:
📌 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as core subjects
✅ Number of Attempts: 3 consecutive years (starting from Class 12 year)
✅ Age Limit: No age restriction (as per NTA guidelines)
📢 JEE Main is mandatory to qualify for JEE Advanced.
For JEE Advanced:
✅ Qualification: Only students who clear JEE Main and rank in the top 2.5 lakh are eligible
✅ Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 2000 (5-year relaxation for SC/ST/PwD)
✅ Attempts: 2 consecutive attempts (starting the year of Class 12 completion)
📢 Additional eligibility criteria apply for IIT admissions, including a minimum percentage in Class 12.
