About Staff Selection Commission (ssc)

  The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization that makes recruitment to all Group-B and Group-c posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and their attached and subodinate offices.So SSC main function is to conduct examinations and interviews for other recruitment to the  post .
SSC conduct many exams to recruit employees for various departments, like Combained Graduate Level Exam (CGL) ,Combained Higher Secondary Level exam (CHSL),Delhi Police, SI/Constable in CRPF/CISF, Stenographers, Junior Engineers (Civil & Electrical) and FCI…etc.

                        

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Selection Process:

Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification: Any Graduate For All The Posts.
Age limit: Age 20 – 27 years (For OBC 3 years relaxation, for SC/ST 5 years relaxation).
SSC CGL written exam will be conducted in two levels :

1.Tier -I :
Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)

 2.Tier -II :
Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Time Available 2 Hours (for each paper)
Negative Marking : 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

 Interview/Personality Test: For some posts where interview is required, the interview/personality test will carry a maximum of 100 marks. It will be typically a panel interview with more than 2 interviewers. A Candidate can get a job if he is selected in both Tier-I and Tier-II . If he/she gets merit and clears the interview then they will get an interview level post.Otherwise they will get a job based on the merit list.

Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam (CHSL) :

SSC will hold examinations for posts of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators and Lower Divisional Clerks.
Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification: Must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
 Age limit : Age 20 – 27 years (For OBC 3 years relaxation, for SC/ST 5 years relaxation).

Skill test for Data Entry Operator:
Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer. Test will be 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions. VH candidates (with 40% disability and above) will be allowed 35 minute
